Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor Brings Exciting New Content!

Hearthstone is gearing up for an exciting Year of the Raptor in 2025, packed with surprises, innovative gameplay, and a host of new features. Fans can look forward to the traditional triple dose of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all set to launch soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, which received a fantastic response, has Blizzard excited to keep the momentum going. They've even unveiled a roadmap that offers a glimpse into the game's future.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is the major overhaul coming to the Arena mode. It's been in development since last year and is now ready to introduce a new generation of players to this beloved feature. Cosmetics are also set for an upgrade with new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and a novel addition: Pets. These charming companions will be integrated into a new system for acquiring cosmetics, though Blizzard is keeping some details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor kicks off with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals are slated to start next week, and to celebrate, there's an in-game event where you can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card by completing the Event Track.

What Else Is Coming?

Alongside the expansion, a new evolving game board will be introduced. The Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion. Additionally, the Core Set is set for a refresh, with classic cards making a return, some with modifications, alongside new additions.
