Nothing is more disheartening than returning to your game only to find your progress unsaved. This can be especially frustrating with new games like *R.E.P.O.* where the save mechanics might not be immediately clear. Unlike some games that offer autosave or manual save options, *R.E.P.O.* has a unique approach to saving your game.

The key to saving your game in *R.E.P.O.* is completing the level you're currently on. There is no manual save feature; if you exit the game or die during a retrieval mission, your progress will be lost, sending you back to the start of the level. This includes scenarios where you're sent to the Disposal Arena upon death, which results in the deletion of your save file.

To save your progress, you must successfully finish a level by delivering your collected valuables to the Extraction Point. From there, you need to enter the truck or find your way back to it, and then hold the message button above your head. This action alerts your AI boss, the Taxman, that it's time to move to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can engage in necessary shopping and then proceed to the next level using the same button.
