Monster Hunter Wilds Rey Dau Boss Fight Guide

Rey Dau, the first dragon you'll face in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, is a formidable opponent with a lightning element. This makes it immune to lightning-based attacks but vulnerable to water and ice. The dragon's weak points are its head (4-star weakness) and wings (3-star weakness), while its torso is well-protected. Avoid targeting the legs as they are also heavily armored. For status ailments, you can use Poison, Sleep, Blastblight, and Exhaust effectively, but steer clear of Stun and Paralysis due to Rey Dau's lightning element.

Use a Flash Pod

To quickly subdue Rey Dau, deploy a Flash Pod to temporarily stun the monster. This gives you a window to attack its glowing red horns, especially when it's unleashing its lightning attack. Make sure to activate Focus Mode to target the horns accurately for maximum damage.
