"World of Goo 2 Launches Mobile Version with Physics Puzzles"
After an eagerly anticipated wait, the beloved puzzle game World of Goo has returned with a full sequel. Developed by 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation, World of Goo 2 is now available on mobile platforms, alongside its release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS for Android users.
A Ton of New Stuff
World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces an array of exciting new features, including over 30 additional achievements for players to unlock. A notable addition is the options menu, marking the first time such a feature has been included in any game from 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation.
The original World of Goo launched on Windows in October 2008, captivating players with its innovative gameplay where they constructed bizarre bridges and towers using goo balls, all while battling the forces of physics and gravity. The sequel ups the ante with realistic flowing, splashing, and viscous liquid mechanics. Players can manipulate this liquid like a river, transform it into Goo Balls, extinguish fires, and tackle a host of outlandish puzzles.
World of Goo 2 Mobile also introduces a variety of new Goo types, including Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, and Explosive Goo, among other unique species. Mastering the interactions between these different types will offer a challenging and engaging experience.
There Are a Lot of Levels to Chew Through in the World of Goo 2 Mobile
The game features a new narrative spanning five chapters, offering over 60 new levels, each with additional challenges. The storyline unfolds over hundreds of thousands of years and follows players as they collaborate with a mysterious company that claims to be eco-friendly and focused on collecting as much Goo as possible. As players delve deeper, they uncover the company's hidden motives.
After all these years, the iconic goo balls have made their triumphant return. You can download World of Goo 2 from the Google Play Store, where it is available for $9.99.
