New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free
The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still anticipating details on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's focus is on a beloved franchise: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure.
The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature dual combat styles: a nimble, fast-paced approach and a more strategic style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.
Players can assemble a unique crew of allies to aid in combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.
A significant announcement concluded the presentation: the "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the premium edition, drawing considerable criticism of SEGA. This is excellent news, and with the game launching in just about six weeks, the wait won't be long.
