In Freedom Wars Remastered, players can customize their loadout for missions with various options. While weapons and Thrones are swapped out less frequently, Combat Items are consumables with diverse applications, but they’re limited in supply.

Completing missions occasionally grants more Combat Items, but the yield often falls short for subsequent operations. Early in the game, you’re restricted to equipping just one Combat Item at a time. Here’s how to overcome these limitations.

Expanding Your Combat Item Slots in Freedom Wars Remastered

To equip more Combat Items, you’ll need to unlock specific Entitlements. From your cell, access the Window On Liberty and select “Claim Entitlements.” Navigate to the Equipment section, then shift to the One-Item Permit option at the top. Each subsequent permit allows you to carry up to four Combat Items.

Story progression quickly unlocks these permits, and by CODE level 3, you can purchase all four. Later permits only appear after acquiring the previous one. Equipping a Combat Item grants access to your entire stack, so selecting a Frag Grenade equips all you have at the mission’s start.

Your Accessory can also use one Combat Item, deployed at their discretion.

Sourcing Additional Combat Items in Freedom Wars Remastered

After advancing past the initial missions, you’ll unlock The Warren, a HUB area. On the upper level, along the right side, you’ll find the Zakka store. Beyond weapons, select the Buy Items option to access Munitions and Medical Supplies.

  • Munitions - Items that deal direct damage to enemies in combat.
  • Medical Supplies - Items that heal, cure status effects, or replenish ammunition.

Combat Items are sold individually, and purchasing many can drain your Entitlement Points. Stockpiling Medkits, for instance, may require donating old resources. While missions sometimes reward Combat Items, their time-intensive nature and the risk of using more than you gain make them an unreliable source.
