Mariah Carey's arrival has thawed Fortnite's Winterfest 2024, launching a frosty questline. To begin, players must locate SGT. Winter and discuss his "Wintervestigation." Here's how to find him.

SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation quest directs players to SGT. Winter. These quests involve collaborating with Noir to uncover clues and discover new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map.

The quest marker pinpoints SGT. Winter's location—near a plane crash atop a snowy mountain, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's a prime spot, close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

Talking to SGT. Winter in Fortnite

SGT. Winter, marked by a speech bubble, patrols near the plane wreckage. Interact with him to access a menu offering a Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Blizzard Grenade, or dialogue options.

Select the magnifying glass icon to initiate the Wintervestigation conversation. He'll provide a new mission, sending players to Noir in Seaport City. Completing this dialogue awards 25,000 XP.
