Fortnite reverses its controversial decision about one of the skins
The iconic Master Chief, star of the Halo franchise and a popular Fortnite skin, recently returned to the item shop after a two-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans. However, this joyous reunion was briefly marred by a controversial decision.
Initially, a special Matte Black style for the skin, originally offered to Xbox Series S|X players, was announced as permanently unavailable. This sparked considerable backlash, with some players believing the move violated established terms and even threatening a class-action lawsuit.
Fortunately, Epic Games quickly reversed course within 24 hours. The Matte Black style is now available to all Master Chief skin owners who play a single match on an Xbox Series S|X console.
This reversal seems the most sensible approach, particularly given the holiday season. Spoiling the festive cheer with such a move would have been ill-advised.
