Fortnite's Next Season: "Wanted" - A Heist-Themed Adventure with Mortal Kombat

Epic Games has unveiled the new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, aptly titled "Wanted." This heist-themed season promises high-octane action, featuring villainous characters, gold-laden vehicles, and explosive bank vault heists.

Breaking from previous season naming conventions, "Wanted" focuses squarely on its robbery theme. Expect thrilling gameplay centered around infiltrating heavily guarded locations and securing valuable loot.

Launching February 21st, the season will include a crossover with the iconic Mortal Kombat franchise. Sub-Zero will be a featured Battle Pass skin, perfectly complementing the heist-centric aesthetic.

This collaboration coincides with the marketing push for Mortal Kombat 2, the upcoming film starring Karl Urban and Adeline Rudolph.

Skins will be available for purchase using V-Bucks, priced at the standard 1,500 V-Bucks each.

Returning weaponry includes the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. While other weapons remain unannounced, speculation based on previous heist seasons (Chapter 4 Season 4) points to potential returns of the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, the Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler. However, these are currently unconfirmed.

A significant addition is the Smart Building mechanic, anticipating player construction needs based on aiming direction.

The heist theme extends to gameplay mechanics, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will need Meltanite, a thermite-like substance, to overcome these obstacles and claim their rewards.
