For Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PS5, Square Enix has alluded to visual enhancements

The PC version of the game boasts superior visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, sparking community calls for a PS5 update. The PS5 version currently suffers from blurry visuals in performance mode, leaving base console players awaiting patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledges the numerous requests for a visual upgrade on PS5 and suggests it's feasible within the console's technical constraints.

"Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received many requests for a similar PS5 update, and we aim to address this at some point, within the limitations of the PS5's capabilities," Hamaguchi stated.

Fans eagerly anticipate Square Enix's response to these requests for enhanced console visuals.

While the team is actively developing the sequel, Hamaguchi requests patience, promising further details later. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, citing global acclaim and multiple awards. The third installment presents unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fanbase. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also notes his interest in Grand Theft Auto VI, expressing support for the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following GTA V's phenomenal success.
