Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Reveals Full PC Requirements

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM as recommended for 4K gameplay.

The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This PC release follows the PS5 launch and a subsequent PS5 Pro enhancement patch. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at this time; Square Enix is focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

While initial PC spec suggestions were provided, Square Enix has clarified that 12-16GB of VRAM is crucial for 4K resolution on a high-end graphics card. Other minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while the GPU needs to be an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or better (with RTX 4080 recommended for ultra settings). Note that Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate support are mandatory.
