NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), Battle Crush. This is unexpected, especially considering the game never reached its full release. Following a global test in August 2023 and early access in June 2024, the game is closing its doors just months later.

Battle Crush Shutdown Date

The official shutdown date for Battle Crush is November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases are no longer available. However, refunds will be issued for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024.

Android and Steam players can request refunds from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content by November 28th, 2024, as the game will be unavailable afterward.

The official website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any needed support. Social media accounts and Discord will close on January 31st, 2025.

Unexpected Closure?

The sudden closure is disappointing for players who invested time and effort. While surprising to some, those following the game's development might have anticipated this outcome. Gameplay issues, including clunky controls and pacing problems, prevented Battle Crush from achieving its full potential. It was enjoyable, but lacked the polish needed for long-term success.

You can still download and play Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before the servers shut down. For more gaming news, check out our upcoming article covering the story-driven quests in Black Desert Mobile's Autumn Season.
