eFootball(by Konami) Partners with FIFA for FIFAe World Cup 2024

Konami and FIFA's unexpected esports collaboration: The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024!

The long-standing rivalry between FIFA and PES has taken an unexpected turn. FIFA and Konami's eFootball are partnering for the FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024, a surprising crossover after years of competition.

In-Game Qualifiers Now Live on eFootball!

This year's tournament features two divisions: Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile. Eighteen countries are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

The three-part in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination Phases for the 18 participating countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.

The offline final round will conclude in late 2024; the exact date is yet to be announced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in the qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards such as 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other bonuses.

The Surprising FIFA x Konami Partnership

This collaboration is particularly noteworthy given the long history of competition between the two companies. Following EA's separation from FIFA in 2022 (reportedly due to a disagreement over licensing fees), this partnership marks a significant shift in the football gaming landscape. EA Sports FC 24, released in 2023, now exists without the FIFA branding.

Download eFootball from the Google Play Store and participate in the current special event featuring a Bruno Fernandes design and an 8x match experience multiplier for faster Dream Team progression.
