Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan
Dragon Quest X Offline is finally coming to mobile in Japan! Japanese players can enjoy this single-player version of the popular MMORPG on iOS and Android, starting tomorrow, at a discounted price. The offline version, released in 2022 for consoles and PC, offers real-time combat and other MMORPG elements, a departure from the series' typical style.
Unfortunately, a global release for the mobile version isn't currently announced. While the original Dragon Quest X was a Japan-only release, the possibility of an international launch for the offline version remains open. This is disappointing news for fans outside of Japan, who may have been hoping to experience this unique entry in the series on their mobile devices.
For those unfamiliar, Dragon Quest X originally launched in 2012. Interestingly, plans to bring it to mobile were discussed as far back as 2013 by Ubitu.
This mobile release is a significant event for Japanese Dragon Quest fans, offering a chance to revisit or experience for the first time this unique title in a convenient format. However, the lack of global release news leaves international fans eagerly awaiting further announcements.
