Phase 1

The haunting voices of Khazan materialize as the Blade Phantom in the Trials of the Frozen Mountain level on Stormpass. This formidable opponent tests your ability to balance stamina and aggression with its relentless attacks. The Blade Phantom introduces multi-phase combat, starting in a castle with floors flooded with a crimson liquid.
The Blade Phantom initiates combat with a variety of attacks:
- A six-hit combo with four punches and two kicks, the second kick being delayed.
- A three-hit combo consisting of two punches followed by a downward kick.
- A four-hit combo starting with a right hook and then two kicks, culminating in a leaping kick smash.
- A three-hit combo with flashing punches, followed by a grab that must be dodged.
In addition to these melee attacks, the Blade Phantom can summon a giant hammer to cause damage and spawn red spikes. When wielding a spear, it throws it quickly and follows up with a teleporting smash. With a blade, it unleashes a swift six-hit combo. It can also vanish and dash around the battlefield before attacking.
Mastering the timing of these attacks allows you to parry or dodge effectively, creating openings for your counterattacks. Continuously attack to deplete its stamina and prepare for a Brutal Attack. Continue this strategy until you reduce its health by half, triggering the second phase.
Phase 2

In the second phase, the Blade Phantom starts with four claw attacks, followed by a spear throw from above. After the spear lands, avoid the affected area and brace for a leaping swipe. This is followed by three greatsword slashes and a hammer smash.
While the Blade Phantom retains many of its initial moves, it now includes new claw attacks, a spear thrust, and swift dual-wielding attacks ranging from four to six hits. It teleports more frequently and uses a greatsword for multiple slashes culminating in a Burst Attack, signaled by a red P-like symbol on the screen. To counter this, use the Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to parry, restoring your stamina and leaving the boss vulnerable to further attacks.
Exploit these openings by attacking when the Blade Phantom's stamina is depleted. Initiate the Brutal Attack just before the window closes to maximize damage and hasten your victory. Successfully defeating the Blade Phantom rewards you with 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear items, a Shieldsman’s Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
