Dead Cells Mobile's final free content updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!

The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date: February 18th, 2025.

Both updates, already available on PC and console, will introduce exciting new content. "Clean Cut" features two new weapons: the survival-oriented Sewing Scissors and the brutal Giant Comb. A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.

"The End is Near" lives up to its name, adding formidable new enemies like the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Expect new skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength, a powerful mutation that increases damage based on curse stacks.

A Generous Farewell

Playdigious deserves praise for consistently delivering free content to Dead Cells players. While the announcement of the end of free updates initially drew criticism, the substantial additions justify the studio's decision to focus on future projects.

Both "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" will launch simultaneously on February 18th, 2025, for Android and iOS devices.

New players to Dead Cells are encouraged to consult a weapon tier list before venturing onto the island, to better prepare for the challenging gameplay.
