Daft Punk's Fortnite Interactive Tribute Released

by Ryan Mar 10,2026

The iconic but now-disbanded duo Daft Punk is coming to Fortnite this month through a new interactive tribute experience.

The Daft Punk Experience launches this Saturday, September 27, at 11 AM Pacific, 2 PM Eastern, or 7 PM UK time—but don’t anticipate a typical Fortnite concert.

Designed with the fact that Daft Punk no longer performs live in mind, expect a creative “playground” where you can remix their songs, create a Lego-style music video, or just dance along.

No new music will debut during the experience, Fortnite developer Epic Games has confirmed. To avoid confusion, the event’s FAQ makes one point perfectly clear:

"Is Daft Punk getting back together? No. The Daft Punk Experience is an immersive celebration of the band’s music. The band is not reuniting."

As with previous collaborations, Fortnite will offer a range of purchasable digital merchandise in the in-game store. Players can buy GM08 and TB3 character skins, instruments for Fortnite Festival mode, and music tracks including Get Lucky.

Earlier today, we reported on another recent Fortnite addition: Delulu, a battle royale mode centered on proximity chat. The new mode is off to a promising start but has already triggered a ban wave affecting thousands of player accounts.
