Factors contributing to its closure include: repetitive events, reused assets, excessively expensive battle passes, and confusing narrative shifts (such as the abrupt storyline change involving The Giraffe). The game's underperformance affected its global presence, leading to a worldwide server shutdown.

Despite its shortcomings, Revue Starlight Re LIVE boasted a positive soundtrack featuring music from the anime, and visually impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.
