by Natalie Mar 16,2025

Gamescom Latam 2024, held in São Paulo, Brazil, celebrated Latin America's burgeoning gaming scene and the global industry. A highlight was the game awards, a partnership with the BIG Festival, culminating in a spectacular presentation. Thirteen categories were contested, with finalists selected by a panel of 49 judges. All nominees were playable on the show floor, a refreshing blend of mobile and PC titles, demonstrating the equal importance of both platforms.

The "Best Mobile Game" award garnered significant attention, ultimately claimed by Triband ApS' What the Car? This win further cements the game's rising star status, previously featured in an article highlighting lesser-known gems. Its success might necessitate an update to that list!
