Use Flash Pod
Doshaguma, despite its massive size, is surprisingly agile, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena. This can make it challenging for melee weapon users to land hits. A Flash Pod can temporarily stun Doshaguma by blinding it, providing a window to attack or even climb onto its back for a strategic advantage.
Attack the Legs
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is a smart strategy. Its forelegs are particularly vulnerable with a 3-star weakness, making them the prime target for dealing significant damage. While its back legs are less susceptible with a 2-star weakness, they're still an option. The head, also rated at 3-star weakness, is another excellent target. Additionally, damaging the tail can lead to breaking it, which not only deals damage but also yields extra monster parts.
Use Fire and Lightning
When fighting Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds, leveraging fire and lightning elements is highly beneficial. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, and melee users might consider weapon decorations that boost fire skills. For fire attacks, aim for the head and torso, while lightning attacks should focus solely on the head for maximum effect.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status effect that leads to an explosion if the gauge fills up or upon receiving a heavy attack. To counteract this, use a Nulberry or Deodorant, or dodge-roll up to three times to shake off the effect.
Use Traps
Beyond direct combat, environmental awareness is key. The areas where Doshaguma roams often have natural traps that can be used to your advantage. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger, and ensure Doshaguma is directly under the trap before activating it for the best results.
