Burglars Return to The Sims 4

Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end! Burglars are back in The Sims 4, ready to test your security systems.
The Sims 4 developers recently announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update: the return of burglaries.
Just like in previous Sims games, installing an alarm system is your first line of defense. A triggered alarm will summon the police to apprehend the criminal. For added security, skilled Sims can upgrade the alarm system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. If you're caught off guard without an alarm, you can still try calling the police yourself – hoping for a swift response – or, if you're feeling bold, attempt to befriend the burglar.
For those with expansion packs, creative solutions abound! Unleash your dogs, summon spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves to deal with the intruder, or even freeze them with a special ray. These more exotic methods, however, require the relevant expansion packs.
The good news? This burglar update is available now, completely free for all players.
