BrownDust2 Drops a New Update Onsen Training Featuring a New Story

Neowiz and Gamfs N have unleashed the first content update for BrownDust2 since its December 1.5-year anniversary celebration. Dubbed "Onsen Training," this update brings a fiery new adventure to the game.

Prepare for a Japanese winter hot spring setting, complete with thrilling sword-fighting battles and characteristic BrownDust2 challenges. Expect unexpected monkey business along the way – it's a fun and unpredictable experience.

Dive into BrownDust2's Onsen Training

This update introduces three new characters: Ventana (the story's protagonist), and Liberta, both obtainable through the in-game draw, and Blade, exclusive to the event narrative.

The Onsen Training event unfolds within the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate, featuring 30 battles divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, seeks to regain her honor after a recent defeat. Her journey to a snowy mountain hot spring, rumored to enhance strength, takes an unexpected turn when she encounters mischievous monkeys. Rescued by Blade, a legendary Kendo Club alumnus, Ventana's training request is initially refused. However, Liberta, the hot spring manager, intervenes, offering to help Ventana secure Blade's tutelage.

A New Mini-Game Emerges

"Onsen Tile Tactics" challenges players to clear tiles against the clock. The event story unfolds in phases: "Legendary Graduate" (week one), culminating in "Beyond Legend" (week three).

Players will face both returning and new bosses. Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter, returns in week one, while week three introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a colossal monkey whose power increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut as a Guild Raid boss, posing a significant challenge with devastating attacks and a high chain stack requirement.

New gear and costumes are also up for grabs. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume until February 13th.
