Players embody Coen, a Dawnwalker—a being caught between humanity and vampirism—in the fictional 14th-century world of Vale Sangora. Unlike typical protagonists, Coen is portrayed as emotionally vulnerable and relatable. His journey begins with a desperate race against time (30 days and nights) to save his family from the ancient vampire Brencis, who now rules Vale Sangora. While the game's time flow isn't strictly real-time, it promises extensive gameplay hours. The reveal trailer showcases Coen's unique abilities, hinting at a blend of supernatural powers and occult magic.

Dawnwalkers and Magic

Rebel Wolves, the development studio, clarified several fan questions via their Discord server. Dawnwalkers are not simply hybrids; they represent a distinct entity between human and vampire. The game's magic system, rooted in the occult, will feature rituals, amulets, and summonings, rather than flashy spellcasting.

A Narrative Sandbox

Despite Coen's central quest, The Blood of Dawnwalker emphasizes player agency within a "narrative sandbox."
