Congalala Overview:

  • Habitat: Forests, Wyveria
  • Weaknesses: Fire, Ice
  • Effective Status Effects: Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stun, Exhaust
  • Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, Rear, Forelegs (x2)
  • Useful Items: Flash Pods, Shock Traps, Pitfall Traps

Defeating the Congalala:

The Congalala's size and agility demand constant movement. Avoid its front and rear to minimize exposure to its potent breath attacks. It utilizes powerful hand slams, tail whips, and ranged breath attacks.

Prioritize breaking its forelegs for easier attacks. Opportunities to strike will arise during its attack animations.

After consuming a mushroom (easily identifiable), the Congalala will release gas from its front or rear. This is your chance to attack its head, tail, or rear without retaliation. Use deodorant or water to cleanse yourself of the gas effects.

Exploit openings by using Focus Mode and Focus Strikes for significant damage, especially during breath attacks or ground slams.

Capturing the Congalala:

Once the Congalala's health is significantly reduced (indicated by a skull icon on the minimap), it will seek rest. Set up a Shock Trap or Pitfall Trap near its sleeping location. Use Tranq Bombs to capture it once trapped.
