New Assassin's Creed Shadows Trailer Showcases PC Version Features

Ubisoft has released a new trailer showcasing the impressive PC features of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The trailer highlights support for cutting-edge upscaling technologies, ultra-wide monitor compatibility, Ray Tracing Global Illumination (RTGI), ray-traced reflections, and extensive settings designed for optimal performance even on lower-spec PCs.

At launch, the PC version will boast compatibility with DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ensuring a visually stunning experience across a wide range of hardware. A built-in benchmark tool will allow players to easily test performance and verify compatibility with their systems, including ultra-wide monitors.

Minimum specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, coupled with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8 GB) graphics card. For a smooth 4K 60 FPS experience at ultra settings with advanced ray tracing enabled, players will need a more powerful setup: an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, and an RTX 4090 (24 GB) graphics card.

Ubisoft has partnered with Intel to optimize Assassin's Creed Shadows for their processors, promising strong performance. Post-launch assessments will determine performance on AMD systems. The development team is keenly aware of past stuttering issues in the series, and fans will be eager to see if Shadows, following the improvements seen in Mirage over Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, maintains a consistently smooth framerate.

Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20th for PC and consoles.
