AR Adventure 'Fantasma' Expands Global Reach with Localization

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? In this game, you hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring you to move your phone around your environment to track and target the Fantasma, shooting virtual projectiles to reduce their health before capturing them in special bottles.

Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. However, deployable sensors expand your detection range, drawing in creatures from farther distances. Team up with other players for a more collaborative experience.
