Alan Wake 2 Universe to Expand As Control 2 Is Marked Ready for Production

Remedy Entertainment recently updated fans on their upcoming projects: the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, Control 2, and Condor (codename). Let's dive into the latest news.
Remedy Entertainment's Upcoming Titles: A Development Update
Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, Control 2, and Codename Condor are progressing significantly, according to Remedy's latest financial report. This report offers valuable insights into each project's status and Remedy's overall strategic direction.
Control 2: Production Ready

Control 2, the highly anticipated sequel, has reached a major milestone: production readiness. This means the game is fully playable, and the team is scaling up production, focusing on extensive testing, performance optimization, and ensuring the game meets the highest standards. Additionally, the Control Ultimate Edition, developed with Apple, is slated for release on Apple silicon Macs later this year.
Codename Condor: Full Production

Codename Condor, the multiplayer Control spin-off, is in full production. The team is actively developing multiple maps and mission types, undergoing internal and limited external playtesting for feedback and validation. This marks Remedy's first foray into live-service games, and will launch with a "service-based fixed price."
Alan Wake 2 and Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Updates

Alan Wake 2's expansion, Night Springs, has received positive press and fan reception. Importantly, Alan Wake 2 has already recouped most of its development and marketing costs. A Physical Deluxe Edition will launch October 22nd, followed by a Collector's Edition in December. Pre-orders are available on the official website.

The Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, a co-production with Rockstar Games, has transitioned from production readiness to full production. The team is working on a complete, playable version, concentrating on unique gameplay features to differentiate the remake.
Remedy's Future: Control and Alan Wake

Remedy's future strategy heavily emphasizes the Control and Alan Wake franchises. Having acquired full rights to Control from 505 Games, Remedy now has complete control over its development, publishing, and future. They are exploring self-publishing and potential partnerships, with further announcements expected by year's end.

Remedy stated, "We have two established own franchises, Control and Alan Wake, linked through the Remedy Connected Universe. Growing and expanding these franchises will be a key part of our future. In addition, we work with a partner franchise Max Payne that was originally created by Remedy." Expect more news on these franchises and their upcoming games throughout the year.
